Pakistan Textile Council held a meeting with a delegation from German Importers Association (Verband der Fertigwarenimporteure E.V. VFI) August 25, in Lahore. The CEO of LIFT Standards, Christian von Mitzlaaff, and Project Manger of Sequa, Ms Bettina Muller, were a part of the delegation.

This meeting is part of a series organized by the German delegation during the fact-finding stage to better understand sustainability initiatives within the textile supply chain. The German importers aim to initiate cooperation with Pakistani exporters, supporting them in meeting the requirements of German and EU laws

The agenda of the meeting was to explore potential collaboration between the German association and the textile association in Pakistan. The ultimate aim is to elevate the performance of Pakistani producers, enhance the sector’s profile for matchmaking events in Germany and Europe, and showcase Pakistan’s potential as a procurement hub for European customers
