Yaqoob Ahmed is the Chairman of Artistic Milliners- one of the top three exporters of Pakistan with an export value of USD 330 Mn during FY 2021. In 1995, he was awarded the Businessman of the Year Award and subsequently FPCCI Trophy for Best Performance on several occasions. In 2018, Mr. Yaqoob received the Best Export Performance Award by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He has a passion for being socially and environmentally responsible, and has worked on multiple projects such as supporting women in leadership roles, which has been endorsed by the IFC. More recently, Yaqoob Ahmed established Artistic Energy- a subsidiary of Artistic Milliners under which he has launched 2 wind power projects of 50MW each, and plans to expand this to solar, hydel and hybrid energy plants in future. Listed as one of the Super Six Project by the IFC, Artistic Energy aims to deliver cleaner, cheaper power to meet the country’s critical demand for energy and reduce reliance on expensive imported fossil fuels.
